My Daily Reminder, My Drive in Life
A couple of days ago a friend had asked me, “What drives you in life?”
And the answer was simple… I want more for myself. I am constantly wanting to grow and become a better version of myself. I want to influence and inspire others to think more about life positively, and I want them to understand that you only get ONE life - so you must make the most of it.
This concept wasn’t easy to grasp at first. We go through our entire weekdays waiting so impatiently for Friday - but why!? Why can’t a Monday be good? Why can’t you go out with your friends on a Tuesday? Yes, there is work and “adulting” but come on people. If you are really only enjoying three days (maybe even only two being Friday & Saturday) what is the point in life? There are so many other days and hours to be making the most of your life with.
First off, it all starts with your job because you there for the majority of your life. You truly shouldn’t hate your job, and I have said this before. If you don’t enjoy what you are doing fix it now. Because if you do what you love you’ll never work a day in your life. I adore my job, and that’s how it should be for everyone and this may take time - but that’s okay! Find your true passion and calling in life.
Secondly, go out with your friends on a weekday. Coffee date, dinner date, shopping, spontaneous trips because sleep is for the weak. (Just kidding, make sure you get some sleep for your health) But seriously, weekday adventures oftentimes make for the best memories and it can help a rough day at work better and those weekdays FLY by when you have fun events planned. Spend time with those who make you laugh and feel good about yourself.
So, I suppose you can say the concept of life is what drives me every morning to want more. I want a purpose in life, I want to make a change, I want to make others feel good, and I want to be successful. It all starts with how you view yourself, life, and what you want as your end goal. You better make it a good one cause you only get one shot at it.
I'll leave this off with saying - GO make plans for tonight or tomorrow. Who cares if you have to work at 8 a.m. the next day. Go out to eat with an old friend randomly, and work your butt off to make yourself successful and enjoy every single minute of life because you only get one life. That should drive you enough.
Don’t waste today sitting around waiting for Friday. Don’t cry over a bad day because bad days don't last if you don't let them and go make the most out of the precious life that God has built for you.
